METAL FABRICATION
TECHNICIAN

The job of the Fabrication technician is to make sure repairs to be done to vehicles are done in proper order and done correctly for the overall fitment of body panels and repairs. Each car is different so each repair will be different. Flexibility to those types of repairs is a must. The technician must be able to use a variety of metal shaping tools confidently and purposely to straighten metal, stay consistent in repair methods, remove/replace rust, and repair surface imperfections. This means being able to put an entire car together including all rust repairs and custom fabrication.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Knowing company standards and what is expected on each car before beginning work.
- Continued and repeated quality checks before and during work is a must. Panel alignment and fitment must be noted before work starting so if any additional repairs may be needed.
- Proper tool use for proper types of repairs

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working on high-end cars is requested. This does NOT mean BMW or Mercedes. Some exceptions may be made based on references.
- Welding of many different types of materials including but not limited to, sheet metal, aluminum, stainless steel> does NOT include arc welding as we have no use for that process with what we do here.
- Knowledge and proper use of welding processes including but not limited to MIG welding, TIG welding, brazing, and body solder work
- Attention to detail
- Tools needed for the job. Some Safety equipment will be provided for you the rest of the tools are your responsibility and will not be provided to you

Working conditions:
-This is an 8-5 Monday through Friday job. We have a break in the AM at 10 am for 15 minutes, lunch from 12-1 pm, and a final break at 3 pm for 15 minutes. Overtime is not authorized unless prior written approval by management.
-Doing this job requires wearing a respirator for sometimes all the day’s work processes. The shop is very dusty, and it is required that a respirator be worn during times of need such as but not limited to sanding and grinding metals of various types.
-Must be comfortable in a loud environment. Some of the processes used are damaging to your ears and hearing protection will be required.
-some of the materials used are hazardous and require special handling. This means gloves and/or a vapor safe respirator. You must wear the proper safety gear when using these products.
-some of the jobs require welding and the use of tools that can be dangerous if not used properly. You must have knowledge of that tool’s risks prior to use.
-welding and grinding/sanding of metal is dangerous and it is required of you to wear safe clothing that is flame resistant, proper gloves for the process you are using at the time, eye protection at all times, hearing protection when needed, long hair tied up and no loose clothing.

Physical Requirements:

- This job is physically demanding as it requires you to stand for long periods. You also climb under cars often and get up and down a lot.  Must be able to handle that sort of demanding physical labor.
-Lift heavy objects frequently and push heavy cars around the shop
-Tolerance of a dusty environment

BODY TECHNICIAN WANTED

The job of the body technician is to take a car from the metal/fabrication stage, through body filler, paint and finish stages including polishing and partial, and even sometimes complete assembly. You are to assist with all levels of the duties in the body shop up to and including clean-up work and final detail of the vehicle.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Knowing company standards and what is expected on each car prior to looking it over. Meaning: not every car will be a show winner, but some are and it is important to know the difference.
- Continued quality checks prior to and during work are a must. Making notes about gaps, and certain fitment as well as the way the car was put together while taking it apart so during re-assembly, which happens sometimes as much as 3 times per car
- Proper application of body filler based on car type as well as proper filler use.
- Proper blocking techniques used for panels based on shape/contour
- Masking for primer and paint
- Cut and polish process and the many steps it takes to make a car shine
-Detail the car for delivery including attention to areas such as door jambs, behind grills, cowl vents, etc. Remove carpet and seat stains on a variety of types of materials

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 year’s experience working on high-end cars is requested. Some exceptions may be made based on references. This does not mean BMW, Lexus, or Audi. If you have basic collision knowledge only this position is not for you
- Professional auto body knowledge is an absolute must.
- Must know and appreciate block sanding. Most of this job is sanding and prep. Proper knowledge of that prep is extremely important
- Tools needed for the job. Safety equipment will be provided for you the rest of the tools are your responsibility and will not be provided to you
- Attention to detail
- The ability to take criticism and use that to further your work abilities

The job of the Upholstery Technician is to make sure the work to be done to vehicles is done in proper order and correctly for the overall fitment of panels and repairs. Each car is different so each job will be different. Flexibility to those types of jobs is a must. The technician must be able to use a variety of tools confidently and purposely

Duties and responsibilities:
- Knowing company standards and what is expected on each car
- Continued and repeated quality checks prior to and during work is a must
- Proper tool use for proper types of repairs
- Proper maintenance and use of tools
- Protecting the vehicle and surrounding vehicles during various jobs
-Take and use constructive criticism as a learning tool

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working on high-end cars is requested. Some exceptions may be made based on references.
- Attention to detail
- Tools needed for the job. Safety equipment will be provided for you the rest of the tools are your responsibility and will not be provided to you. We are building the upholstery section from scratch and will need your input about what we need to purchase to get the job done
